KRE Group  ( http://www.thekregroup.com )

Kushner Real Estate Group - was founded in 1979 as SK Properties and re-branded in 2010.  The founder is Murray Kushner and its president is  Jonathan Kushner. KRE has developed projects throughout the northeast but its most potent impact has been in Jersey City.  Having already made its mark on downtown Jersey City, in July, 2014, the company began construction on the first phase of Journal Squared, a residential development adjacent to the  Journal Square Transportation Center. The project will be constructed in three phases and is approved for a total of 1,838 units, including a 70-story building, which will be the tallest building in Jersey City (and in the state!).  KRE has been a noted patron of the arts and of community activities in and around resurgent Jersey City.

Panepinto Properties

Founded and run by  Jersey City born and bred Joseph Panepinto, is a family-owned business that’s been reshaping Jersey City since 1977.  From Neptune Avenue in Greenville where he was born, Joe was one of the first developers in the long road of moving Jersey City to the forefront of urban living.  For Panepinto, president and chief executive officer of Jersey City-based Panepinto Properties, giving back to the community is natural. “I’ve always felt very fortunate,” he explained. “As I became more successful I’ve always felt that I should help people… I’ve always just felt better sharing than not sharing.”

Silverman

Founded by brothers Eric and Paul Silverman, recently celebrated 30 years of building neighborhoods. In 1981, Eric and Paul began their careers with the renovation of a dilapidated 15 unit apartment building in Jersey City’s Paulus Hook neighborhood. In 2012, they built out GP’s Restaurant, completing the 25,000 square foot retail component of Hamilton Square, a mixed-use residential development at the site of the former St. Francis Hospital.  A health club, Montessori school, baby and dog boutiques, dance studio, photography studio, doctors’ offices, wine shop, and a pharmacy now energize the Hamilton Park neighborhood. In these 30 years, SILVERMAN restored historic landmarks, championed the development of mixed-use buildings, created affordable housing, attracted commercial and industrial tenants to Hudson County, invested in micro-brewery, New Jersey Beer Company, and brought creative new retail ventures to Jersey City. They have created over 1000 residences and over 500,000 square feet of commercial and light industrial spaces translating to thousands of jobs and households in Hudson County. Eric and Paul’s values, history, and mission are very easily summarized in the company tag line: Building Neighborhoods.  Silverman's support of CIC is key to it success and to the Christmas Eve concert and orchestral Mass
